These terms govern your use of the Colombia Care Dental website (colombiacaredental.com) and our dental services. By using the website or booking treatment, you agree to these terms.
1. About us
Colombia Care Dental is a dental clinic registered in Medellín, Colombia, providing cosmetic and restorative dental services. Our clinic is licensed by INVIMA (Colombia's national health regulator). Registered address: Cra. 25a #1a Sur 45, Q Office Building, Floor 12, Office 1205, Medellín, Colombia.
2. Use of this website
You may use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes to learn about our services, contact us, and read our blog. You may not:
- Copy or reproduce substantial portions of the content for commercial use without permission
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from this site
- Use the site to transmit malware, spam, or illegal content
- Impersonate someone else when contacting us
3. Treatment quotes and consultations
Free virtual consultations and treatment plan quotes are non-binding. The final treatment plan and price are confirmed in person on Day 1 of your trip after a clinical examination and any required imaging (CBCT scan, X-rays). Prices in marketing materials, on this website, or in WhatsApp/email quotes may be revised based on your case once we examine you in person; you will be informed of any changes before treatment begins, and you may decline.
4. Bookings and deposits
- A $500 USD refundable deposit reserves your treatment dates, hotel, and concierge services
- The deposit is applied to your final treatment cost on Day 1
- Cancellations made more than 14 days before your arrival date receive a full refund of the deposit
- Cancellations within 14 days of arrival forfeit the deposit, which converts to credit toward a future trip within 12 months
- Rescheduling (vs. cancelling) is free at any point
5. Payment
The remaining treatment balance is due at the start of treatment in our clinic. We accept major credit and debit cards, cash (USD or COP), and international wire transfers. We do not offer in-house financing, nor do we accept CareCredit or similar third-party medical financing.
6. Travel and accommodation
For patients booking our all-inclusive package, accommodation and ground transfers are coordinated by us. International flights are not included; you book your own based on your departure city and dates. We are not liable for flight delays, cancellations, lost luggage, visa issues, or other travel-related events outside our control. We recommend purchasing travel insurance.
7. Treatment outcomes
Dentistry is a clinical practice, not a guarantee. While we use FDA-approved materials and modern surgical and restorative techniques, outcomes depend on factors including your overall health, oral hygiene, bone density, bite, lifestyle (smoking, grinding), and adherence to aftercare. We will discuss reasonable expectations during your consultation; you should not expect results to exactly replicate before-and-after photos shown on our website or social media.
8. Warranty
- Veneers, crowns, and implant restorations carry a multi-year warranty against material defects and bonding failures under normal use
- If a covered failure occurs, we will remake the restoration at no charge and cover a round-trip flight to Medellín for the remake visit
- Warranty does not cover: damage from accidents (sports impact, falls), wear from skipping a prescribed night guard, failure due to smoking (for implants), poor oral hygiene leading to peri-implantitis, or modifications made by another dentist
- Warranty claims must be supported by clinical evidence (photos, X-rays). We assess each claim individually and in good faith
9. Informed consent
Before any procedure, we will explain the treatment, alternatives, risks, expected outcomes, and aftercare. You must sign a written informed consent form before treatment begins. You may withdraw consent at any point before treatment starts.
10. Confidentiality and records
Your patient records are confidential and protected under Colombian healthcare law. We hold records for 20 years per regulation. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.
11. Photographs and case sharing
We may ask whether you consent to having before-and-after photos of your case shared on our website, social media, or in patient education materials. Consent is optional; you may decline without affecting your treatment, and you may revoke consent at any time. Photos are stripped of identifying information unless you specifically authorize identification.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Colombia Care Dental's liability arising out of or in connection with our services is limited to the total amount you paid us for the treatment in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing in this clause limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
13. Disputes
If you have a concern about your treatment, please contact us first via dental@colombiacarehealth.com. We commit to responding within 5 business days and working in good faith to resolve any issue. Most matters resolve at this stage.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Medellín, Colombia. The laws of Colombia govern these terms.
14. Modifications
We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when. Material changes will be flagged on this page for at least 30 days. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
