Dr. Paulina leads the cosmetic team at Colombia Care Dental. She qualified as a dentist at CES University in Medellín in 2018, then completed a 100-hour international diploma in advanced dental aesthetics run by Universidad de Cartagena with CEO Latinoamérica. That diploma is the training behind the veneer and smile design work she does here.
Her clinical grounding is deliberately broad. She rotated through paediatric dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, oral rehabilitation and surgery at the CES teaching clinics, then spent her rural service year at Hospital Santa Isabel in San Pedro de los Milagros. She has practised general and aesthetic dentistry at Prisma Orthoclinic since 2018, and observed at an orthodontic practice in Atlanta.
Patients describe her style as honest first, friendly always. She will tell you when a treatment is not right for you, and explain the trade-offs in plain language before anything starts. She writes most of the case notes on this site herself.
Dr. Ana handles the periodontal side of the practice: the gum and bone health that decides whether cosmetic work lasts. She has more than ten years of clinical experience in periodontics and teaches postgraduate students in the specialty alongside her work at the clinic.
On a smile makeover hers is often the opinion that comes first. Veneers set over inflamed or receding gums look wrong within a year, so where the gums need treatment, that happens before any cosmetic work begins. It is the least visible part of a case and the part that most often decides the result.
Medellín sits at 1,500 metres in the Aburrá Valley. Mild weather year-round, a quiet walkable El Poblado neighborhood, and a bilingual concierge team that handles every detail from the airport on. Most patients leave wishing they had stayed a day longer.
